Located just north of Carthage Il, the Hancock County Gun Club is a private, non-profit organization. Our facilities include a 50ft indoor handgun/rimfire range, trap range and 300 yard rifle range. Members have 24/7 access to the indoor range and daylight access to the rifle and trap ranges. We do require some training before being allowed to operate the trap for the safety of the shooters and the equipment.
We host public events throughout the year. A full list and information about the shoots can be found on the events calendar.

We require all members to join the National Rifle Association and prospective members participate in two (2) shooting events to familiarize themselves with the club and allow current club members to get to know them. The application to join the Club has a place to document participation at the events. Prospective members should be sponsored by two current members. Participation at the shooting event will provide an opportunity to have a Club member meet a sponsor. A schedule and description of public shooting events and their description is found on this website. Illinois residents will also need to supply their FOID number.
Yearly dues are:
Individual $50.00
Seniors age 65+ $35.00
Disabled vet $25.00
